mit Prof. Dr. Philipp Hübl (Stuttgart) Raum: Senatssitzungssaal Some theories in moral psychology contest the Kantian view that normative beliefs are grounded in rational principles. For instance, Haidt (2012, Haidt/Graham 2012) and other proponents of Moral Foundation Theory put forth a dual processing account in claiming that our moral beliefs stem from our emotional dispositions, whereas normative justifications are mere rationalizations. Similarly, Prinz (2006/2007/2008) defends metaphysical and epistemic Emotionism, the view that moral properties and moral concepts are essentially related to emotions.
